Pic at Abreeza

Martillano's invades Abreeza Mall. Feel ko lang! He he.  Its a very, very important project for me because it allows me to celebrate my roots, my culture and my hometown.

My Roots

I'm originally from Bicol and I brought my family here or whats left of them, my brother and sister (who's now in Hawaii). And yes, we love to eat and cook with "lada" or wild chilis.

Growing up, food was one of the ways we socialize and bond with my family. Almost all dishes in Bicol are served with sili or gata. So when we migrated to Davao, I missed seeing "sili" in Davao's daily fare.

My Lola the Super Hero

My lola is actually my idol cook. She inspired me to be my own home cook. I remember when she had a stall in SM Mega Mall and NorthEdsa, she would ask me to man the chafing dish stations every summer. And when eating out on any restaurant, she would always roll her eyes and tell me every ingredient of the dish we were currently eating and I would be awed. At that time, I thought Lola had super powers. Amoy pa lang, alam na nya kung anong mga ingredients or kung anong dish.

What to expect @Martillanos

Martillano's will cater to your hot and sweet cravings. We have Pili Nuts, and pinangat and of course Bong's Bicol Express and Ginataang Sampalok. Savoury dishes like Bicol Express Pasta, BEX to-go. My Special Laing will also be featured. So please lang, kung gusto niyong maiba ang mga putahe niyo. Duman ta sa 3rd Floor Cube, besides Globe and taste our fare.

We are also modernizing our POS with an online and mobile POS. I think we're only the ones here at the mall using mobile POS, well I think!
